Lea Marquez Peterson Endorsed by Governor Doug Ducey
Tucson, AZ – Former small business owner, current President of the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Republican candidate for Congress Lea Marquez Peterson announced today that she has received the endorsement of Governor Doug Ducey in her race for Arizona’s 2nd Congressional District.
Governor Ducey said in a statement, “Lea Marquez Peterson is a proven leader for Southern Arizona. As President of the Tucson Hispanic Chamber she has done a remarkable job being a voice for Southern Arizona on matters of economic development and trade. In my experiences with Lea, she has demonstrated the rare ability to bring people to the table to solve problems and get results. Lea’s expertise and knowledge of the issues that are important to voters in Cochise and Pima County will serve her well in congress. I am proud to support Lea’s campaign and know she will be an independent voice for the district.”
Lea Marquez Peterson would go on to say, “Governor Ducey has been a friend to Southern Arizona, and I’m proud of the working relationship we have developed on issues related to trade and improving economic growth in the region. It’s extremely important to the long-term growth of Southern Arizona that the next representative for Congressional District 2 has a history of collaboration with the Governor’s Office. I look forward to working with him in the future as we seek to further international trade, grow Southern Arizona’s economy and secure our southern border.”
